Next Step Defensive Pistol course: This course is designed to take a new concealed firearm permit holders to the next level of competency with their firearm. We cover defensive gun handling, drawing and shooting from concealment, malfunction drills, combat accuracy and environmental awareness. We train real world shooting scenarios, and introduce moving while shooting as well as cornering and shoot/no-shoot drills and more. This is also a great class for more experienced shooters to maintain and hone your skills.
Classes are held at the Hendrickson Range. The PMAA (Hendrickson) Range in Parleys Canyon (I80), Exit 134 (UT-65 N to East Canyon) (
map), Utah. The class will be limited to 20 students on a first come first served basis. The cost will be $100. and $50 will hold your spot in the class.

Advanced Defensive Pistol: *Pre-requisite* to this class is a successfully completed Next Step class, or equivelant all day defensive pistol course. If you are un-sure if you qualify for this course please contact us.
This course picks up where the Next Step course leaves off. We will work on advanced skills introduced in Next Step. We introduce timers to induce stress and push students to master their pistol manipulation skills. We work to find your individual balance of speed and accuracy. Line drills also include one-hand/support-hand only, re-loads and malfunction drills, pistol manipulations in un-conventional positions and using un-conventional methods. We will push you to think outside of the box to master your respective weapon system. You will draw and shoot on the move, re-load and fix malfunctions while moving to cover. We teach multiple shooting positions, transitions, multiple adversaries, and shooting in a 360 degree environment. Also, room clearing, shoot-no-shoot scenarios. We cover flashlight techniques and running the gun in the dark. The fee for this course is $100. See class requirements above.
Force on Force Defensive Pistol course: This course consists of a review of our pistol manipulation skills, we will move from line drills to adding dynamic movement while we draw and shoot. We learn effective one-hand techniques, point shooting, shooting from retention and more. The meat of this course is Force-on-Force training with airsoft pistols. Interactive gunfighting with live adversaries. Here we use our dynamic movement to get off the line of attack and choose correct and effective angles to defeat one or multiple adversaries in a critical incident. Prerequisite to this class is a successfully completed Next Step class, or equivelant basic, live fire, CCW training. Items needed include:
Semi-auto airsoft pistol. Hopefully a replica of the one you carry, that fits your carry holster.
Airsoft pellets.
Paint ball mask.
Hearing protection.
Eye protection.
You might want:
Hooded sweatshirt
Gloves.
Live Fire items needed:
Firearm, holster and extra mags. (Preferrably your carry rig)
200 rounds of Ammo for live fire drills

Ladies Only! We will be offering a Next Step course for you ladies only on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 8:00 am. This class will also be held at the Hendrickson range. See directions above. Same course material, but without the boys around to slow you down! This does not mean the girls are not welcome to attend either class, but some of you ladies have requested a class 'just for the girls'. We are happy to oblige.
